VICTORIES AND EXCITEMENT ON THE ROADS OF THE GRANDE BOUCLE - TheTour de France and Sidi champions

The Tour de France is in its second day off before hitting the Alps and riding on to the grand finale in Paris. But there is still a lot of road ahead. There has been plenty of excitement until now and major players have included champions from the Sidi squad.

Sidi has scored three victories at this point, one more thrilling than the next. The first win came on top of the wall at La Planche des Belles Filles, in satge 6, for Belgium's Dylan Teuns from team Bahrain Merida, a team on which all riders use Sidi shoes.

The other two victories have been achieved by an unleashed Simon Yates. The Englishman from team Mitchelton Scott only recently joined the Sidi squad, but he made his mark immediately with two fine successes on the roads of the Tour. On both occasions, Yates clinched the victory after a long break. The first win came at  Bagneres-de-Bigorre, in stage 12, and the second was in the 15th stage in the Pyrenees with a climbing arrival at Foix.

And it wasn't just stage victories. In fact, Sidi is still a major contender to win this Tour, or at least to obtain a spot on the final podium in Paris with Egan Bernal. The young, talented Colombian from Team Ineos has appeared among the best during the climbs in this Tour, and in the last week there will still be plenty of mountains to scale. At the moment, Bernal has already achieved a significant goal; in fact, he is wearing the white jersey that distinguishes the best young rider in the race, with an advantage of more than 12’ over the second placed racer. Of course, there is room to dream in yellow…

For their enterprises, these three top riders from the Sidi squad have chosen the Shot shoe. Together with the Wire 2 Carbon, it is one of the top models in the Sidi line for road cycling. With these models, Sidi provides the same performance, technology and design to all fans who choose this shoe to enjoy their cycling experiences.
