TONY CAIROLI AMAZING IN TRENTINO! - The phenomenon wins again and comes closer to the leadership in the MXGP World Championship.

Motocross brought plenty of thrills to the Sidi Sport colours once again this past weekend. In the MXGP the great Tony Cairoli (Ktm) was the undisputed star, confirming that he is still number one on Sidi’s off-road team. The Sicilian champion has finally returned to his old form; after a rough start to the season and lots of bad luck he has finally reclaimed his place at the top of the podium, right where he belongs.

On the Italian racetrack in Pietramurata Tony Cairoli took victory in race1 and second place in race2 to capture the win in the Trentino GP, the eighth test in the World Series. He beat Frenchman Romain Febvre and Slovenian Tim Gajser, who had dominated the first part of the series; but now these two will have to contend with the champion from Patti who, thanks to this victory (the second consecutive win after the one in Teutschenthal, Germany), is making a big comeback in the overall scheme of the World Series. Now Tony Cairoli is inhotpursuit of the general classification, currently in third place with 310 points; Febvre is second with 331 points and Gajser is ahead with 335. However, at this point, with ten races to go and the series still wide open, Tony and Sidi will be seriously vying for their 9th World Title.

On the other hand, things didn’t go so well in the MX2 in Trentino, where Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) and Max Anstie (Husqvarna) had to settle for fifth and tenth place respectively. In the next race in Spain the two Sidi riders will be trying to make a quick comeback.

As always, Tony Cairoli and all the Sidi riders on the race field and on the podium can count on their Sidi Crossfire 2 boots, the number one models in the Sidi Sport off-road collection, veritable gems of technology and design which are unbeatable on any terrain and in any weather condition. Sidi threw a great party in Tentino. The stand they set up inside the Pietramurata circuit between Saturday and Sunday was inundated by thousands of fans and enthusiasts who got the chance to meet and greet the Sidi MXGP champions for photos and autographs, including Tony Cairoli, Alessandro Lupino, Glenn Coldenhoff, Rui Goncalves and Kei Yamamoto, as well as MX2 riders Jeremy Seewer and Max Anstie. And of course, they got to check out all the products from Sidi Sport’s off-road collection from up close.
